I have a bunch of ships in a cluster, I click one ship and using the keyboard shortcuts I select the weapon using z, x, c, as I can click ships faster than the action completes, I get a kind of stacking or queuing of actions. I sometimes hit the wrong letter for the weapon action I am after. And as the game lags waiting for the previous action to complete before changing the action and poping up the radar (range zone), I hit the key again. In the first instance, I was thinking that C was cancel, but that is actually V. So to recreate the crash is as easy as hitting z,x,z,x,c,c,c,c in quick sucession whilst clicking the next ship to select for duty.
I hope that makes sense? I am running the latest version of the game as pushed out by Steam and the latest Steam client for MAC. MAC El Capitan 10.11.4
If that is not any good, I may just try and video it from my phone and upload a video of it, if that would be useful.
Did you want the crash dump emailed?

BTW, please do not spend too much time on this. It is easily avoided by not being an inpatient so and so... Just me... I'd prefer you worked on enhancements, and if more people report the same issue then look at it.

That crash I think I can fix by enforcing a delay between switching ships to let the OS catch up.

I do like queuing actions, it works fine for move, but not weapon selection in combat. If you add that delay, then waiting on movements to complete would also be inforced. Maybe that is the correct short term solution. Longer term I'd like to have multi action support, so while the action is happening I can be doing something else.

Maybe the next game we'll have budget for something like that!
As it is, I'll take the bug report and remove this bug with the ability to queue actions.
Apple's dev guide states that a 0.25s delay between should be enough to completely eliminate the crash.
Thanks for the report, we will do our best to fix it.

The original issue posted here, with zones around Xeno worlds, should be fixed in the most recent update.

Re: Keyboard jams on MacOS: The MacOS have modified input stack, that I've never seen on any other OS. Windows, Linux or FreeBSD, of what I've tested, did not exhibit such behavior. For reproduction, try this: 1. Connect two keyboards to the same system. 2. Hold Shift on one keyboard. 3. Hit F10 on another. You should receive a Shift+F10, if it works as expected. On Mac, the Shift will be forcible relesed before F10 is registered.

Not very amasing, when you stumble upon it :/ I have a mice with integrated HID controller that can work as keyboard+mouse on same bus, and I remap 3 extra buttons to F10-F12. Since it is a hardware remap, I can take the mouse and plug it into any system and it'll just work. Except with Mac.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll see if there is anything to do.
Also, if you want to open new threads it is way easier for us to keep track of stuff.
