faction overlay for map

I would like to have a map toggle for faction, ships/colonies/teritory(zone).
For instanace, I have 3 factions, cadar (blue), Thulan (Yellow), Javat (Green). When I toggle the option I can see the faction colour instead of the ship or planet, the ship and planet is still viewable but it is under the colour filter that overlays the map.
This would help me to quickly asses where my fleet is, organising them quickly into faction groups or mixed sets, or sending them into faction friendly space. It also helps at the start of the game when I am busy clicking around through screens to identify which colony ship is from which faction.

Having this as a single button/toggle, means I can click/tap once and then think/plan before executing. Much less clicking/tapping around to figure out what my plan will be.

further to this, having a show all ship routes function would be good, so I can see where all my ships are planing to go before I auto move everything and realise, after the fact, that I should have changed the route of a ship due to enemy movements.

That's a really cool idea ... but I'm not sure the ST 4X engine will support it.

I've taken a note for the future if we're ever crazy enough to make another 4X game, that we should include this idea!

Yeah, reviews are critical to our ability to keep working on a game. I really hope to be able to keep spending time on ST 4X, but without reviews and more interested users the time is getting scarcer and scarcer
