Building on my last post, it'd be a nice touch to include a hint about this earlier in the game. Maybe if the player hasn't created colonies for all 3 factions by turn 6, they could get a message. "The leaders of [uncolonized factions listed here] are concerned that you have not created [a colony /or/ colonies] for their weary people. They urge you to colonize soon."

I agree the game should not allow the player to profit from using Colony Hives as shields. I'd prefer a solution to this problem that makes it relatively easy for Xeno to destroy Colony Hive ships--lower the Colony Hive Hull Points and allow Xeno to damage them fairly easily. Except that is PRECISELY what a Hive IS. An insanely huge, heavily armoured shield shell whose sole purpose is to protect humanity. Or Aliens, depending whose Hive it is. Easy to destroy completely goes against the entire concept of a hive ship: let's load up our last survivors in a balloon and hope no one has a needle...wait, what? I do agree with the deposing time limit, though. They have a right to be angry if you don't guide them.

In the game universe, you definitely aren't facing real hives in combat. Those are drifting ships, populated by Narvidians or Xeno or something worse like Guild war-drones.

I have it, but team strategy isn't quite my favourite. Trying to come up with a solo plan for Templar Battleforce. I dun like micromanagement much. The price tag on TB is also holding me back for now from the elite, but I'll certainly add that to the other Elite TB games I bought if I find a play style that pleases me.

Hey Darth, are you on a Google device, perchance? If you are, there is an app called Google Opinion Rewards that might help pad the account

Wait, what? Aliens are LESS dangerous than the Guild?! What even IS this Guild I keep seeing vague and incomplete stories of?! I haven't played Templar Battleforce (yet). I could be wrong about some of this, but here's what I know of the Planetary Guild. Most of humanity was under control of the Guild before Shalun and the Templars waged war against it. The reason why Shalun fought against the Guild was to free humanity from them, as the Guild was controlled by Narvidians. The Guild possessed FTL communication equipment that was subject to easy manipulation by the Narvidians.

So the Xenos were manipulating humanx-kind into destroying themselves, and Shalun and the Templars freed the people from that control, minus the Guild who are basically Xeno slaves.

The Narvidians were the ones controlling the Guild. The Guild's technological back bone was built off of "dormant" Narv tech. The Narvidians were able to hijack the Guild from the inside and begin subjugation of the Star Traders and extermination of humans who were found to be unnecessary or resiting.

Oh, so THAT'S why TBs won't add a Xeno line of upgrades. You'd automatically wind up a Narv slave and lose.
