Hi,
I greatly enjoyed playing Templar Battleforce. I've now reached the end (on hard difficulty) but I don't really have the time to commit to replaying the full game. I think it would greatly help people to maintain interest in the game, develop their characters further and refine their tactics to allow the replaying of individual levels once the game is completed.
I don't really see any downside. I can see it might encourage grinding and interrupt mission flow if allowed midway through the game, but once it's complete it seems entirely reasonable to allow people to replay individual levels.
Thanks for the great game,
Tom

t0mb0 - thanks for the post and welcome to the forum! That's a cool request, but there are some complexities with it. We'd have to opt certain missions out because they rely on previous mission conditions. Perhaps we could allow you to just replay any given deploy (Ferarai Lance). The next project we are working on is to add Skirmish levels that you can play at any time, which sounds pretty similar. Don't miss playing the Stratos Orbital from the end game zone.

Perhaps we could allow you to just replay any given deploy (Ferarai Lance). I would like to second that request. I suppose the situation may have some complications regarding whether a replay should grant RP, Experience, and/or gear points when replaying any level after completing the game. That sounds excellent! It is not the same though--I, like t0mb0, see value to replaying some "favorite" levels with later leveled up loadouts. I suspect there are a number of others who feel similarly (although, of course, I could be mistaken).

Skirmish Levels! Skirmish Levels! Skirmish Levels! One of the things I love about TA is never having to do campaigns. Just do what you need to unlock some favorites and then hammer those anytime you like. Adding Skirmish levels to BF will give it much the same thing, playing through the campaign is great but after a couple times through you start wanting a chance to just go kill stuff in favorite missions. A good variety of Skirmish levels should feed the itch to burn some Xeno and try different strategies without locking us into the campaign mode or even certain deployments. Can't wait to see these start coming out in force.

xdesperado - we've got a special plan for them, so we can't wait to share. A bit of code needs to be written first, but then we will kick off the fun. I think you and everyone else is going to love this new development!

A bit of code, lol... Poor Cory Trese Speaking of the crazy amount of coffee you must need to consume, have you looked up Deathwish yet? If not you should-- we would already have AoP 3 by now

En1gma - I haven't tried Deathwish yet, but I like my coffee random. I will give it a shot and see if we do in fact, get another game out of it

Yet that and their Odinforce Blend. You won't get as jittery and it tastes crazy good.

Sounds good, I'll look forward to the skirmishes! Being able to replay a given deploy would also be welcome.

Sounds good, I'll look forward to the skirmishes! Being able to replay a given deploy would also be welcome. We will definitely keep that in mind! As we add Skirmishes, we'll be leveraging a system to pick from a list of levels, so that will become feasible. Welcome to the forum and we hope you'll stick around!
