I have logged thousands of hrs in rpg type games. Elder scrolls ff whatever ive played it. I have found it is usualy the little things that make or brake a game. HOS gets little things right in my opinion. Here are a couple of things i would like to see. The ability to lv up at any campsite would be nice. And the ability to have partial potion use. If i need 60 hp and i have 120 hp potion it would be nice to use the remainder later. Thnx for the great games. You fellas are to be commended on the way you do business. Some make games and take the money and run. You fellas take the money and improve the game. Keep up the good work.

As I understand it, both are part of the game balance and unlikely to change.

Thank you for the encouraging words. We might not be able to support them in Heroes of Steel, but we will keep them in mind for future projects.
Thanks for playing!

Honestly, I'd prefer to keep potion usage as it is. I think it works fine. (its not like there is a shortage of potions either. If you play conservatively by Ep4 you'll probably have over 100 potion bottles stocked up).
As for campsites, I think how it works now adds to the game. Allows them to be flexible adding story lines and challenges.

I don't think we can add partial potion usage. If there was a inventory size limit, that might be more interesting, but as it is, I think it adds complexity that is not needed. Potions are pretty cheap, so you have to drink the whole thing. I can understand the interest to level up at any campsite, but the positioning of such leveling-sites is a big part of the map / dungeon / region designs. Probably not something we will carry forward to another fantasy RPG, but not something we'd remove from Heroes either. Thanks for the complements Glad we got some of the little things right! Keep suggesting, you know us -- we keep improving!

Group potions going to only those that need it?
E.G. 1 character is full so the other three get 1.33x the value, or 2 r full so the other 2 each get upto double?
Just a thought...

I agree with bob on this one. Potions are fine the way they already are. Granted, if your a complete scrub like myself, that 100+ potion stockpile you saved up will probably be gone within the first few fights of EP 4.

If you really want to avoid complexity, just have gold heal and restore sp. ;-p

If you really want to avoid complexity, just have gold heal and restore sp. ;-p "You cast 'Philosopher's Gold', everyone is restored." We've designed Heroes of Steel to offer a full restore through potions and the numerous camping sites and inns. The mechanics don't support this being provided by a spell or gold.

If you really want to avoid complexity, just have gold heal and restore sp. ;-p "You cast 'Philosopher's Gold', everyone is restored." It is not a question of avoiding complexity. It is a question of avoiding complexity that few players will use and that will bog down the entire game The economy of stocking up for potions, finding potions you can't buy, and using potions for 1 AP is a big part of the background track of your wealth management. Thanks!

Are potions and items auto scored to their gold values, or do you have to spend time selling them off if you want the score for them?
I honestly don't care for myself, but I see quite a few going for score on here. I am interested in ways for less clicky management for myself in general though.

Thanks for the posts and hope you'll join the forum Any items, including potions, are not scored for gold unless they are sold. In selling, you can double click, so its not too painful to select something to sell and click-click-click it away. Sorry there is not a "Sell all" option at this time.
