Over time, which attacks cost spirit and which do not is learned, but it would be nice to have a quick visual indicator.
I was thinking that for Fiona's spirit based attacks, etc. that they could have a light blue line at the bottom of the icon cube to indicate at a glance that spirit is required. Another option could be on right click to have the "spirit cost" in light blue font.
Alternatively, since many attacks involve spirit, the non-spirit-based attacks could be indicated by a color.

Only the first attack Talent for each character doesn't cost SP.

That's odd -- the spirit point cost is included in the right click? Always in the line about costs -- "Uses 2 AP and 8 Spirit" Also, as Cory mentioned, every Talent except for the basic attacks use SP. The basic attacks are visually differentiated as they all show a basic weapon only, no additional styling.

Yes, I did notice the cost was indicated in the right click- one of the two suggestions was to have the "spirit" requirement words (shown on the right click) display in a different color. The other part of the request was the light blue indicator at the bottom of the buttons. I had been in part getting confused because basic talents are not always included on the far right of every heroe's activity bar. The Sorcerer, for example, has an energy ball attack that goes to the far right of the basic attacks on his activity bar.
That said, I did not realize that only basic attacks do not use SP until that was pointed out, which would make it more appropriate for the non-spirit based attacks to be visually indicated by a color (rather than indicating the spirit-based attacks). That said, I also did not notice the basic attacks are visually different and it is admirable you already attempted to address the issue of distinguishing between the types of attacks(!) My non-noticing of your previously-implemented fix could just be a lack on my end (although other newbies-to-the-game's feedback on the issue could be worthwhile--that said, placing the basic attacks to the far right in all cases could be the best indicator--and it seems that was your intent--it's just that at least one talent seems to have gone farther to the right).

The basic attacks (those I recall) have a clear pointer in the runs of "not-spectacular-but-cheap-solution" in their description.

Vae Victus - thanks for the feedback. It feels like we've hit the points you've mentioned already (listing cost, visual differentiation, data in right click). Note that you can re-order your Talent bar as you please, so if you want to push the basic attacks all the way to right, please do.
