2.2.5 Hard Difficulty Factory core:South
I had full MP with a scout and used Grapple I to hit an enemy- this used up ALL of my MP; thankfully only 1AP. Was it supposed to use up all the MP? If I had fired a weapon, it would not have used up all the MP, it would have just used the required equivalent of the MP.
If this is not a bug, could the right click tooltip over the action indicate that this ends the turn, just like Overwatch ends a turn? That said, if it is not a bug, I do not understand why melee ends a turn unlike shooting? If I can shoot and run, I can surely punch and run?

Vae Victus - grappling with a leviathan mech requires setting of the feet in a combat stance and swinging of the full mech. It ends all movement for the turn. Look for the small icon with foosteps and an X where-ever you see this type of Talent.

You'll actually notice that many Talents are decorated with the tooltip that indicates end of moves.

If I can shoot and run, I can surely punch and run? I always just assumed they were locked in a xeno wrestling bout and as such would be locking the feet into the ground to improve stability. A bit like a full-auto Neptune I guess

Look for the small icon with foosteps and an X where-ever you see this type of Talent. Thank you-it is helpful to know that icon indicates "end turn" after an attack(!) I was expecting the tooltip to be in the right click for the action rather than on the far right, like "Melee Attack: Ends Turn" rather than to have the information present in a different part of the screen. Also, and this may just be personal preference, but I did not realize that those images in the icon were footsteps--I thought they were bullets with an X indicating this was a melee attack. Maybe those icons could have a mouseover tooltip? Without going into the library and looking at what the icons indicate, I could not discern what they meant.

Vae Victus - thanks for the feedback, we will see if we can improve the iconography. It is on our list to add a textual explanation of the rules to the Talent detail pane, but low priority atm. Notably, it does not end your turn, only sets your MP to 0.

And has no effect on MP banked by buffs that have -MP bonuses.

Vae Victus - anything that causes -MP increases your Heat reduction for the turn (Buffs, Heavy Armor, etc). Using Grapple (which sets your MP to 0) does not negate the bonuses you get for -MP. Fixed thread title, moved thread to discussion board instead of bug.
