Alien Battle Ship's Log Errors

So I was a level 1 bounty hunter and was unlucky enough to encounter an alien. All my crew died, but I killed the Xeno captain in boarding and won the battle.
In the ship's log there are only 3 injury messages, but the Xeno took me down 5 HP, also the victory message repeats 2 extra times.

The Vae Victus was very nearly destroyed in combat and it took us several bitter weeks drifting through deep space to make our way to get her repaired enough to make our way to the nearest planet.

Thanks for the report. In this case, because of the rarity of the battle event, a log is generated. I will see if I can randomize it a bit so it does not repeat. Most players won't see three of these in a row.

Actually, if you have a drawn-out boarding battle with an Alien ship, you could potentially see 4-5 of these log messages in a row. I've seen that before. It seems like the same message is repeated during battle even though there is only one victory at the end. Perhaps the messages in the middle should be replaced with something describing an epic battle with Aliens instead?

Yes, if you have a drawn out boarding battle. That log is double or triple generated in in about 0.001% of play sessions.

There are thousands of log strings in the game and some of them repeat. The rarest of the rare of them repeats, like the others.

The messages in the middle, as far as I know, DO describe an epic battle with the Xeno. Is there some part of the log message that isn't clear?

The part that bothers me is the captain saying (repeatedly) that somehow they won a victory against the Aliens, when there was really only one victory for that battle. If the text were replaced by something else that indicates a continuing battle, it would sound better IMO. Perhaps replace "somehow achieved victory over a warship of the Alien" with something like "somehow survived a horrendous battle with the warship of the Alien"?

Ah so it is just a misunderstanding. The log is about a Captain battle Victory.

Yes, there is one victory but multiple log messages (all with the same date) repeated for that victory. Should be just one log IMO.

Sorry, I will try to be more clear. You are misunderstanding.

The log is about a Captain battle victory. That is to say, a victory in the battle between Xeno Captain and your Captain. This log is not about ship victory. This is a sub-action turn event log registered as a result of the sub-turn's boarding result event value and enemy type.

This log entry is intentional. This log entry is not about victory in the ship battle. This log entry is about the victory in a sub-set of the greater battle against the Xeno.

This log entry is about the results of the boarding rolls inside of the combat turn.

This log entry COULD occur on the same turn as you are victory in ship battle, but it also might occur on other turns where ship battle victory is not achieved, but boarding battle victory is.

Ahhh I see. So it's about one successful raid in the series of raids that happened during the single encounter? That makes more sense to me now. Still, the use of the word "victory" seems prone to misunderstanding as a ship victory as opposed to an individual victory.
