If you have a minute this weekend, Trese Brothers could really use your support! If you could log into market.android.com/details?id=com.tresebrothers.games.cyberknightsand post or update a 5 star review (from your Android device OR the web) it would mean a lot to Andrew and I. We have some strong detractors regularly posting negative review updates and as we try to promote our game having a few positive promoters updating good reviews really helps us out. Thanks again for everything you do to support TB!

Precisely. But I highly suspect it's a backlash attack from what Voldyren Nightsong did on market reviews of other Cyberpunk games.

I have never seen promoting one game in another game's comments work out.
I do love any energy people put towards encrouaging others to try our games, just Android Market developers are very easy to anger because we're all fighting for the same attention and dislike the compeition stepping on us.

Yes but the real thing i dont comprend is when users comment badly a game, without a sense...and i dont know this precisely, but i'm sure that u have got also these types of comments...now,if ur game was terrible ok,i would be acceptable...but...damn,u update this so frequently, follow players community(in a way i have never seen before,in my exp),u have created a game(well exactly 3 games ^_^) so powerful to compete with cyberlords and overall more deep(honestly i tried that, yes it is graphically awesome but the substance?it's like zenonia in a cyberpunk world...bah) and still thinking this i haven't left a bad review to Cyberlords 'cause however its a work probably made of sacrifices and hopes, like ur games...Sooo when i view 1star reviews on ur games really,i'm sad for u, 'cause u dont...mmm...deserve this...(is it the right word?...'cause used the google translate but i don't trust it xD)... BTW i tried to re-post a 5star review,i don't know if the market has accepted that, also 'cause honestly i see only my review(but it's surely impossible,i should see a lot of comments xD)...probably its a market app issue,boh...on doubt now i go to the web and i ll try there =)

Ok i looked on market(web),all ok,my review is there, its updated and i also had the time to finger down the two 1star reviews...;D ehi, that review(ever the 1star) that said about graphics like 4year old kids paintings is...a nonsense...=( (and it re-links to my previous post phrases...)...bah...

Yeah, those guys woudn't know that it's hand-painted even when it hits them in the face. Anyway, I saw some repeated single word 1-star comments by different users, "Rubbish". Looks like propaganda to me, alright.

I did a run through last week marking the obvious trash talkers who down loaded the game just to give a bad review. The ones who were too dumb to figure out the basic play got an unhelpful, and the trolls got marked as spam. Illiteracy in the world seems to be growing how hard is it to read BETA for these morons?
We need to start a CyberKnight's literacy program . Those who fail get the chainsaw to the extremities...

I think that some people don't get the idea of paying for a beta -- supporting game development while it is being developed.
But I really don't understand what motivates people to post a negative review in the first place.
At any rate, I think the whole rating system is so incredibly immature -- as is everything about android market, that it won't be long now before people decide that they cannot trust the ratings to tell them whether something is any good. The reviews may be a different story. I was talking to some people at Yelp last spring, and they say that they have 4 full time people on staff whose whole job is to deal with reviews that are reported as being innaccurate, no longer accurate, pure lies, mistakes and fabrications -- and that this is not enough.
So I cannot see that Android Market can just ignore the issue without ended up with meaningless ratings. It seems clear that there are some people whose hobby in life is finding new things to try and then trashing them online -- though some people even skip the 'trying' step. It is difficult to know what to do with these people, since they are so clearly well motivated to behave as they do.

When we see CK, we instinctively see the potential and got the Elite edition to show our support. Now, let's step into the shoe of a truly casual gamer, shall we? Let's see... What's new on the Market today... Wow! So many of them! Hmm.. Cyberknights... Interesting intro... Ooh... reference to Shadowrun and all things Cyberpunk... Okay, Free version download! Right... Bejeweled 4 Lite is out! Download! Hey, what's this. A Nethack RPG! Download Let's launch CK first! Right! Graphics... hmm... not 3D... Music... sounds fitting... Geez... what am I supposed to do? Go to a bar? Okay... let's go to a bar. Get a job. Assassinate? Sounds good! Who the hell are these Yakuza guys anyway? I'll bet I could kick their asses since I'm playing on Normal and it's my 1st mission. *Death* Shit! What the hell! 1 Star! Uninstall! Let's try out Bejeweled 4.
This is a cold hard truth and what all Indie developers, like TB, fear. The lack of a 2nd chance to let their games shine, especially when it's not a monopoly like ST and TA. I fear that SoS would also face a lot of reviews as this since Fantasy RPGs are dime a dozen in the Market.

blackgauntlet I don't think you could be more correct. When I first had the chance to start downloading games I picked up random stuff that got good reviews with rpg, action, and adventure tags...very dissapointing so many games are so easy and lead you by the nose on what to do next. So its clear to me that the average mobile gamer must be looking for this crap, wich is just bizzar because on consoles these games would get rated horribly as to easy and to shallow. I'm hoping its the markets fault and not the consumers because then games like those from TB have little to no chance to reach fame level of something like angry birds.
