Does the restore point option wipe all progress (ie successful combats) since last camp?

Just defeated the Krete chieftains at the rivers edge and on the way back ran into a spawn I wasn't expecting...

KJ is in range of archers with about 15 health remaining, so if I don't restore he has to go a full round without getting shot
