WHAT THE HELL?!
Start up star traders... decide to make a new captain.
After deliberating for 30 minutes, I played as a faction I have literally never played as once in the two years of playing... Never started up a game as them... the only connection I had with them in character creation is that they're the default faction.
Yes, De Valtos.
Anyway, choose my ship, difficulty, profession... tap Start...
"The Senate Will be Watching" popped up.
WOAH WHAT THE HELL?!
I instantly stopped... went and created a new captain, exactly the same as I had... nothing.
What was that exactly?

That depends on the Captain's birth name. Each Faction has one.

Thanks, ntsheep. I went and found all the easter egg text for the 6 factions. The Rychart one was amusing. Well anyway, does anyone know if Indies have an easter egg name? I didn't find it for them if they did.

I think the Rychart and Cadar one are swapped. "Torps for Cadar!" As Rychart...? "Members of the syndicate will monitor your progress." As Cadar? That seems more Rychart, and everyone knows Torps for Cadar is probably meant for Cadar... after all it mentions Torps. No one else mentions Torps. Only Cadar.
Oh and because it said Cadar.
And really traitorous Steel Song.

I suspect "Torps for Cadar!" was meant in the sense that they want to shoot Cadar with torpedos, not in the sense of helping them.

Could be. Eh, it's still funny.
