I have seen factions which never get along. Never had a trade alliance, never an alliance, never anything positive for each other, only war and embargoes.
The faction pairs I've noticed
Cadar V Steel Song
De Valtos V Javat
Rychart V Thulun
Does Cory have some secret code that says those factions must NEVER get along for a week?

Nevermind, I just got a trade alliance between the Steel Song and Cadar. Which I hate. I don't like Cadar. Anyway, the others though, still nothing

It's been two years, and I've only now seen the Steel Song and Cadar get along.

De Valtos rarely gets along with anyone in general, in my experience. They always seem to have "negative" conflicts.

They get along fairly well with Cadar. Probably because they both have something in common; they're both elitists.
That and De Valtos is doing what they do best... tricking them.
And Cadar is doing what they do best... unleashing their standard greeting on every De Valtos ship.

Once I encountered four alliances with Thulun, including Rychart. Seeing Rychart and Thulun in an alliance or trade alliance is rarer, but I have encountered it several times. I have never seen four spy or solar wars against one faction though...

It's awesome especially if it's a faction your already enemies with I have no enemies, I am a peaceful ship liquidator It's interesting that they are able to forgive me my heinous facts, including destruction of property, just by stripping me of my rank, trade permit and death warrant, which is, in total, worth like 5k bucks

I had all six factions at War with each other.
Thulun v Javat Steel Song v De Valtos Cadar v Rychart
And five in embargoes during the war Thulun Javat Steel Song Cadar Rychart
It sucked because I make friends with either the houses, or the syndicates. If the houses are at War with each other, it's a pain in the...
I almost never make friends with the syndicates... Okay, quite a few times with Rychart, but I don't say that due to how hated they are. (Meanwhile, I'm steel song... logic?)

The highest number of my trade embargoes is 6. It's quite fun that there is decent chance that factions in solar war will enter a trade embargo as well... But there is no chance at all that two factions in spy war... Or any other conflict will hold trade embargo against each other...

I love when there's a shortage of records (or surplus) during a spy war... especially if the shortage is on your faction's world... the surplus can be anywhere, I don't care where. Or better! A long lasting surplus... because the surplus is TWO AU away from the world you're selling it to... that's why I'm a legendary Crime Lord with Cadar
