So I may be an idiot but I'm playing the Android version of Cyber Knight RPG and I just got Flynn's V-Chip. I sparked up a conversation with the guy and he basically said "You're going to get delivery jobs from me, your mission target squares will be highlighted in red, buh-bye".
That being said, I see no mission squares highlighted in red, I've visited every available place in the Fennian and Los V areas with no options to forward the story or gain reputation for the Fennian district. Can anyone help me? Is this an issue/bug or is this normal and if so, how do I proceed?
I've looked everywhere for information on the first occurrences with FF but I can only find the walkthrough that basically says "the first conversation should be simple and you're an idiot if you can't figure it out" and then begins with the second portion of FF missions after Rep 9.

@gear_boggles - where are the missions sending you to? If its Dorchester, you're facing a bug we are hoping to fix soon.

I don't remember any reference to Dorchester. It was more or less "These are the types of missions you're going to get and this is what it will look like when you do, good luck". When I go to Flynn asking "what's next?" he says "you need to complete more missions from me to continue". I look in my "Jobs" tab and see nothing. I look in my "PDA" under "Note Book" and the last thing it says is my first impressions of Flynn, no mention of anything I have to do.
So I'm not sure what point it is... |

I also restarted my game thinking it may have been a one time bug but it happened again. (Easy difficulty setting with Cyber Sword profession)

I'm still not seeing Dorchester or any indication within the Fennian or Los V areas that there is a mission target. I've tried going to the Taxi service as well but it says I need to talk to Luka or Mercer for access and I cannot obtain it at this time by talking to anyone.
When I started my game after the update I cancelled the current Dorchester mission and finished all of the other ones to make sure they were working. They were and then I started Dorchester again but the same result applies. Am I simply missing the right way to travel to Dorchester?

You can't get to Dorchester until Flynn says you can leave the sewers behind. The bug fix was to prevent Flynn from giving you missions to Dorchester-- you have to abandon the Dorchester missions. |

Ok, that would make sense. I did cancel the mission twice now and it still gives me the option to choose it though, just as a heads up. I do get other mission options now which didn't happen before.

Thanks, @geer_boggles - glad to hear that there has been some improvement. If you can not pick the mission, then don't pick it and we will keep trying to resolve. Can you share the version that see you see printed on the main menu? Can you try closing the app and restarting your device and see if the Dorchester option still appears? To what building in Dorchester exactly? |

I just started playing a day or two ago, and had a very similar experience, to the start of this thread. Ask what's next, be told I need to do missions, no missions offered (no Dorchester issues at this stage, no missions at all).
After reading this thread, and stuffing around for a while, I think I realised the problem. From memory, Flynn in his introduction, said something like:
"Just keep asking 'what's next' , and you'll make progress"
Or something similar. But that's not accurate.
What I think he should have said, was ask to see the Connector for jobs, and when you think you're ready, ask what's next. This would be much clearer for people trying to follow the instructions, but get told to do jobs, in the place they thought they'd get jobs - and don't think to randomly click on other options...
On a related note, I still got a Dorchester mission from Flynn, but having already read this thread, I simply cancelled it and moved on. From memory, it was the last of 3 or so offered, when I accepted it, but I got about 3 more after cancelling it. So it was only a source of confusion, not a serious roadblock.

GrayElf - thanks for the suggestion and the report of the Dorchester job occasionally! Welcome to the forum, glad you've been finding it useful. We're working on an update that should improve and fix this issue that somehow slipped in.
