No rumor, no gold, nothing but rations and ammo... my pirate patrols the waters of Ruesland... when he's attacked by a Kraken. Okay... boards and defeats the Kraken, patrols... Ice Demon (Pain Forger), so I attack and defeat it... patrol some more after selling, loot a few merchants, avoid a bounty hunter, another Ice Demon (Something of Anquish), I kill it... going to port, another Kraken... kill it... keep going, another Ice Demon... sell, patrol... Ice Demon... kill. Patrol, Kraken... I think you get it. It kept going on and on and on and on... I became rich off Ice Demons and Krakens!
Now... Why were they everywhere? My captain eventually died, after getting to cocky, and wasn't paying attention to his hull during a Kraken battle...

Probably, I just didn't get it. Oh well, got some awards for it. I'm deciding Kraken/Demon hunting is more profitable than pirating... I had more luck finding them than finding a merchant! Or navy ship... or bounty hunter..... or other pirates.

Cory Trese does the rumor create the condition or does the condition create the rumor? If it's the latter, and he just didn't spend enough time in his mugs to hear about it, would this explain the scenario?

Sounds like a 100% match that there was a rumor, but your Captain was unaware. |

Yeah, I agree, but maybe there is a 1% chance it is something else like a game hack or saved game mod -- if we figure out that it was something other than the 99% explanation of "Rumor Effect" then I'd look into it.

I may be learning to hack, but that's only on CK! I'm not making much progress.
I can't figure out those data terminals... I will though... probably. I'm going back to Battleforce.
