Q1)I was looking through some old threads and I found this conversation.
Fast / Quick ships take up a lot more fuel and suffer more critical hits.
Big slow and reliable, efficient and tough. If a QUICK ship is more vulnerable to crits, does that mean just the engines are more vulnerable to crits, or all components? Similarly, does a FAST ship have more crit vulnerability to just sails, or all ship components?
Q2) What exactly is a critical hit? Do crits work like they do in "normal" RPGs (small chance for bonus damage), or did Cory just mean the maximum damage number in the damage roll is increased?
Q3)Does Prow Superstructure give damage resistance to sails?
Q4)Does Reactor Superstructure give damage resistance to engines? The description does hint at it.
Q5)Does Torpedo Battle Prow give damage resistance to your torp ammo? The description does hint at it.
Q6)Does Battlecruiser Retrofit reduce WF use? The description does hint at it ("...architectural upgrades to maximize the ship's crew efficiency...").
Q7)Does Titan Gun Batteries give any special bonus other then +2 guns +3 engines? All the other gun and engine upgrades give special bonuses.
Q8)Water-fuel, T2O or H2O?
Evidence in favor of it being H2O: in-game description, in-game image says "H2O" on it, finally Riverton has TONS of WF, which makes sense if it's H2O because Riverton is on a river.
Evidence in favor of it being T2O: help file says T2O.
Q9Does the Military officer boarding transition bonus make you board more accurately, do more damage to the enemy crew for transition board, give a higher chance of going into a deep/critical area of the enemy ship for transition board, or all of the above?
This is every question that I have about ST. If anyone can answer any of these that'd be great!
What circumstances would you ever want something that is slow with low agility? Looking at various ship lists I've found, it seems like there are plenty of other options with good stats but faster speed/agility. Or are they just in the game to be fodder for pirates/trade wars/solar wars/ etc?
