Not sure if I can explain this particularly well, but I mean in terms of complimentary equipment that produces an effect when combinations of weapons/secondary weapons are used in conjunction. For instance...
- Multiple troops with shields next to each other could give a passive buff to armour or deflection due to interlocking shields. - Multiple flamer shots overlap could produce more damaging and intense flames. - Successful melee attacks could stagger enemies and make them more susceptible/easier to aim at for ranged attacks. - Adjacency with a Neptune could provide an accuracy bonus due to some kind of passive targeting link.
Similarly you could have negative ones like...
- More than two enemies surrounding you makes it progressively easier for them to hit you. - Having friendly troops directly between you and a target you're shooting at could reduce accuracy unless you're directly beside the friendly.
I'm sure you could play around and think of all manner of complimentary situations. Then again, some of this may already be in the game and I have no idea... maybe some of this made sense.

Chaotic Entropy - makes a lot of sense, great suggestions. I am not sure that the current engine will be able to support these types of adds, but flanking and other situational bonuses would be great for our next game. Great to have you on board and contributing!

Great to have you on board and contributing! Ah, fair enough, it's all slave to the confines of the reality you're working with. I'm always happy to share my thoughts and feedback on the games I play. ^^ You all seem very receptive, which is nice.
