Odd that we don't have a thread for sharing ship designs... Well now we do I'll start with one of my late game designs Note that this ship is extremely expensive and requires a lot of research Ultra cruiser- battle cruiser Level 7 Heavy reactor 15 (8000 mass 5 refuel) Durability 8 Evasion 12 Gun decks 6 Gun attack 5 Pilot 2 Stealth 3 Repair 4 Archangel Railgun (36-62) Enhanced Duranium Plating (19 Armor) Titan bridge system (+1 MP) Military crew (+25 WF +8 DMG +10 Beta DMG +3 any attack 8%crit) Gun barrage Heavy barrage 2 Explore 2AP 4MP 310 Hull 238 WF 324 CP $2911 to build $413 maintenance I use it to one shot rating 9 Xebolits xeno. It's also rarely hit. Requires Heavy reactors 4 Realspace weapons 3 Adv. Capital ships 3 Adv. Fleet operations 3 Orbital materials 3

It'll be fun to have a new thread on this topic. There is an older one somewhere. AA , it'd be cool if you provided the stats associated with the weapons, armor and upgrades on that ship. I'm guessing you have some evasion related bonuses. Here's my contribution. The Valiant-II: an early-game fighter designThe Valiant-II is significantly more effective than the canned 'Strike Fighter' design provided to players, but costs abpit the same (Valiant-II: 21cp + $111, Maint $35/turn). The only techs to unlock for the Valiant-II design are Fighters 1 (Phoenix Defense Pod) and Starship Construction 3 (Ship Design Level 2 & Fast Reactor 3). Therefore, a templar commander can afford to build three early in the game, one for each faction, thus maintaining all important faction balance. Ship Design elements in order of appearance in the Ship Designer. -Ship Design Level 2 (Cost similar to Level 1, but gives better hull, fuel capacity, Ship and Captain) -Fast Reactor 3 (Supports Mass >2100, 4MP) -Ship: Guns 6, Torp 0, Durability 4, Shielding 2, Evasion 14, Sensor 1 (Primary focus evasion, secondary Gun) -Captain: Guns 6, Pilot 1, Torp 0, Stealth 1, Repair 3, Warrior 0, Invasion 0 (primary focus guns) -Weapon 1: Valiant Autocannon (the least expensive light gun, does more damage--8-17--than other low-cost light guns, no accuracy bonus so pump up Guns) -Weapon 2: Phoenix Defense Pod +1 Defense (provides an essential defense bump at very low cost). -Armor: None (keep cost low) -Upgrades: None (keep cost low) -Training: Gun Barrage, Heavy Gun Barrage 1. This design focuses on evasion-related stats, as a result it avoids around 2/3 to 3/4 of attacks from level 1 and 2 Xeno ships. These avoided attacks allow the ship to stay in combat longer and reduce maintenance costs. The secondary focus on Guns allows it to hit consistently, especially after it gains the first 5 experience points.

No evasion bonuses... Something I learned... Don't try to use the Valiant-2 against rating 4 Nyktos xeno
