I just switched my free version captains to my elite vers and at first thought the transfer i lost all my discovered ports. But i did some testing and found counple bugs. So looks like if my battery goes dead or if i do a phone reboot (which i had to do a reboot to get my atop elite to actually start and work) the other bug i notice when i was testing trying duplicate the data loss was that discovered ports go for all my chars so if one finds a new port they all find it. No complaints there kinda like that. But the data loss from dead battery or reboot totally sucks. Is there a fix or a file i can copy n backup? Also i noted my free and elite vers each have their own data. So ports discovered on one does not effect other no big deal on that part, just a note.

wolfgang - the two apps are completely separate, so yes, they have their own data. That is the rule within the Android system. To clarify the report, whenever you turn your phone off, you loose all discovered ports?

wolfgang - are you having issues with memory loss on other apps? Are other game fields getting lost or failing to load? That information is stored in the saved game like any other information and its disappearance would point towards data corruption, hard disk issues. How old is the device?

I actually suspect this is just how Android OS works now. The rules have changed since AoP was released, and it is possible that this is just how Age of Pirates works these days.
Ports are also removed from the list for a few other reasons, in-game, so you might also be seeing that. I'll try to contact Google about this and see if there is anything they are willing to do.
If you are personally ticked off enough to want to quit playing, I can help you by processing a refund. Just e-mail me at cory.trese@gmail and we can get that started.
Thanks for playing!

Looks like even if i answer an incomming phone call i lose all the discovered ports it really s CKD because it means i have no idea what ports buy or sell what and whwt their rates are. If we can find some fix i'll keep playing but if no fix then its kinda pointless for me to play since it makes it rather unplayable. I am using a alps x401 with android kitkat. It is a rather cheap pos but.....ugh.

wolfgang - sorry that this snag has come up. It seems Android OS is changing some of its rules about how it stores and flashes memory from apps. We are happy to offer a refund.
