Curious if all the factions will be available for play during alpha, want to see how much more faction choice will impact a players game than in ST. |

fallen Cory Trese - How do Patreon backers join the Alpha? Is there a separate link somewhere that'll be sent out, or should I be using this? Also, is the Alpha PC-only, or will we be able to access it on iOS as well? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I've never been involved in one of your Alphas before.

I've never been involved in one of your Alphas before. - no problem at all, happy to help. First up, we offer a 60% discount to all of our Patreons on alpha. However, the Star Traders 2 KickStarter and its alpha offer at $50 was published before we made that rule change for Patreon, and a few hundred people bought in without getting the Patreon discount. So, out of fairness to everyone, we aren't retrofitting that discount to the Star Traders 2 Alpha offer. I hope that makes sense and feels fair. The Battleforce alpha was the first one in which Patreons got the big discount, and that discount will be for all future alphas, going forward. The alpha will be for any platform -- PC, Mac, iOS, or Android. We will undoubtably be wrestling with screen size issues during this time as we fight to port the desktop UIs down to the mobile sizes, but ... nothing new! I just didn't want to rush and do one thing only to find out I should've done something else. The alpha will be for any platform -- PC, Mac, iOS, or Android. We will undoubtably be wrestling with screen size issues during this time as we fight to port the desktop UIs down to the mobile sizes, but ... nothing new! Excellent. I'm pretty much iOS-only, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't left out in the dark before joining in. Too often I see devs shoot for specific platforms first, which is understandable, but I didn't want to get my hopes up.  Joining in on the fun shortly. Thanks! |

The neat thing about all the proc gen stuff means it should at least be feasible to add stuff like extra factions in later |

As bookworm21 mentioned, proc gen makes them easy to add to all new games. |

Yay, alpha! What does it mean? The official launch is one step closer! I hope I will earn some decent money at my work before it happens, because after it comes out, no time for work! |
