Upgrading Templar Ship

Playing a game and after a little while, the templar ship ships become worthless
I think that the should be a mean to upgrade the templar ship to the latest weapons and armor
Maybe add shuttles to their ship

If you want them to remain viable, they need experience. They will need to be on the front lines-- every 6 exp levels gives them a bonus, not sure exactly what, maybe fallen could elaborate on them.
