i can't seem to buy or sell anything in the game, it looks good, but it's just unplayable like this. I go to the exchange and change the number to the total I want in my hold and see the amount of cash I have move but the inventory doesn't?

Sounds like a bug. I'm sure Cory Trese will come in here soon to resolve it. Cory's going to ask these questions, so you might as well speed things up by answering them before he arrives: what version of the game do you have, and what device are you playing on?

Seems like you might have some Developer Options turned on for your device? That generally will cause all sorts of bugs like this is apps and games. Android OS Settigns > Developer Settings. We would recommend that none are checked, especially "Dont' Keep Activities"

That's great news for your device. Turning on ANY Developer Option will dramatically reduce performance and battery life.
There are a few Developer Options (like Don't Keep) that break almost every Android application, and some that will cut your battery life down by 75%
EVERYTHING under "Developer Options" is ONLY for developers -- all of those options cause Android bugs or heavy additional processing in the background. Seriously not worth it unless you are doing a bug hunt on apps for which you have the source code.

Just out of interest, what is 'Don't keep activities' actually used for anyway? Surely when debugging you want a log of what's going on

Just out of interest, what is 'Don't keep activities' actually used for anyway? Surely when debugging you want a log of what's going on This developer setting allows us to simulate what would happen to the application's functioning if the device is a) out of memory b) coming back from a reboot with a stored intent or c) running out of I/O resources like file handles or images. What it basically does is cause all applications to crash constantly -- just like if you are 100% of out memory. I use it mostly to test what would happen if you're doing an IAP purchase and Google Play crashes (which it does a lot.) Unfortunately, this constant crashing means that the applications have to restart every few seconds (heavy CPU, memory, IO and battery drain) for every application that gets woken back up (even your home screen, lol.) With Don't Keep Activities you can simulate a device that is dying, being hacked by malware or just doesn't have enough memory for even basic tasks. This is useful for developers -- but absolute hell for users.
