I have never seen this in the forums anywhere and I admit because of the Android Market download issue, I haven't been able to download the latest version of ST and I'm left using a warez copy of 3.9.29 (going to update to 4.1.0 since the apk of that seems available now) but I checked the blog and I haven't seen any hints of this either but basically on around turn #1002, bounty hunters retreat so don't bother fighting a prolonged battle.

I don't have a good cam so hopefully it's at least clear that there's 4 digits on this screenshot:



The one who retreated was a Level 55 Javat Class Bounty Hunter versus a fully upgraded Royal Class with 32 Tactics, 33 Pilot (it could close in on the Royal but nothing that one retreating can't solve) and 33 Warrior.

Upgrades were Reinforced Prow, Leviathan, Water Fuel, Nano Solar Coating and Hyperion. I don't know if it would have retreated more than once because we were at Torp range and we were both undamaged.

Since 3.6.17, battles end in a draw at turn 1002. This is because there used to be problems where neither you or your opponent could hit each-other, yet you couldn't retreat. It got to 1500+ turns and that got more frustrating than purposeful. It happens more on the harder levels (impossible/insane) because your opposition can be significantly higher in level than you.

Sure, you could do the boarding thing ... or ram, but that makes combat painful on both sides if you don't have decent warrior/intimidate skill.

All bounty hunters SHOULD retreat from us pirate addicts. After all, to us, a bounty hunter is just another trader to shoot, loot, and burn.

Heck, bounty hunters are even my favorite kills because they COME to you. I mean REALLY!? Talk about entering the lion's jaws. ;D

Next up: Going to do a bounty hunter and see how that goes hahaha.

The apk I tried said that the Amazon app is still not supported in this region.

I did find out that it was due to the Android market being outdated that I couldn't download ST RPG. Ironically I discovered this because even the other outdated Android Market apps I tried couldn't download the apps except (so it happens) Cyber Knight RPG. Don't know why that is the case but no joke.
