I find the tutorial very hard and discouraging... I'm at the party where I have to kill shady and his game. I was given an NPC to help but i died, and lost him... now i have to face the gang myself and I cant beat it... any suggestions... this is suppose to be the tutorial not something that wants me to uninstall the game, and at this point I'm about to do that very frustrated.

Really sorry to hear that! What difficulty are you playing on? What character class?
We certainly didn't intend for the game to be frustrating for new players, we are doing our best!

Hey, if you want and are playing a Gunslinger, you can use the walkthrough for the first half of MnB I made. It attempts to explain stat increases and why those increases are made, as well as items I picked, etc. I'm working on a full walkthrough on the hardest difficulty, but it's not to Shady Dusty yet. startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/6730/born-walkthrough

momodig - do you have some good medkits in your inventory? What weapon are you carrying? How have you spent your XP to date? You don't have to do the fight with Shady immediately, so consider running a few more jobs with your Fixer to build up credits, XP, and skills. Buy some better gear, or cybernetics.

Don't forget that even though you have a runner, he is pretty much a Meatshield at this point. Try and get your Athletics and your main weapon ability up, since Athletics helps you run circles around your opponents.

I don't have a runner, that's my point he died trying to the quest the first time... he WAS a one time runner... not a permanent one.

Also what weapons do stun damage? I need to stun guys now, and I don;t know which weapon to use.

Well, the runner you really don't have to worry about... Raise your Firearms and your Athletics and you should be able to take him on easy... as far as Stun Weapons, I particularly favor the Blasta-Gun since it still uses Firearms and ammo is plentiful.
Regarding the runner dying, I treat my Runners like I do my Rookies in XCOM; unless they have experience and I put considerable investment into them, they aren't worth much. I would totally consider reading my original Made not Born Walkthrough since the game was not only a bit harder when that guide was started, but it is also one difficulty higher. I cover how to spend XP and what weapons and services I buy and how I bought them... While I understand you won't be starting over which is totally fine, you could most definitely take a read at it to see what skills I improved up until I hit the point you are at, and make those adjustments. And seriously... that Runner is not needed at all to complete the Shady Dusty mission.
As far as general combat tips go... when you have a high Athletics and start consistantly winning Initiative, consider Moving away from your opponents, keeping at least 3 AP left. Combat is divided into Rounds and Phases, Phases being parts of rounds. You keep additional phases as long as you have at least 3 AP left, so if you need to make a tactical retreat, do it during phase 2 since during phase one you could move and shoot, or move and bank the rest for defense or something.

I read you guide, I think you said after a run dies I should restart? I don't really want to remake a new gunner I have about 10 hours spent on this runner. And my play time is limited. Also one other question... I bought the rifle you suggest in your guide, for get the name... anyhow, It holds 5-6 bullets I don't recall which number... and an auto loader holds 25 bullets or something so when I use the auto loader it dissapears from my iventory, wheere do the left over bullets go? sorry I can't be exact with numbers but I;m not at my tablet right now.

Nah... if a Runner dies it's oh well. I believe the game throws away the extra bullets if you reload with a filled clip. Tagging fallen for how reloading works, since I usually reload right before a gun fight ends. But no, you don't need to restart just because a runner dies. That's just plain silly. However the Brutal Sniper one is a little different, because if my Knight dies I have to restart because of permadeath. And I do encourage the Blasta Gun for much of the Tutorial because the Blasta gun specifically does MP damage, not Health Damage. Most of these Thugs only have 2-4 MP so one shot from the Blasta-gun is enough to take out a single thug, Dualshot or no. Seriously find the Blasta Gun (or if you wanna punch you can find the shocky gloves I think, but grävling probably knows more about Brawling than I do; I'm not a fan of the skill)

A gun holds a limited amount of ammo (say, 5-6). When it runs empty, Reload. You reload between combats of course. Your character has a cyberloader, which is a mark of a Cyber Knight. It is a device that holds a lot of ammo (unlimited actually). This ammo is unpacked and ready to use, and cannot be resold. When you click Reload, the needed ammo is very rapidly loaded into your gun by your cyber loader. You can check out the amounts of currently held ammo in your Equipment > Equipped. You can find and buy ammo items, like the Auto Loader. When you use the Auto Loader, it is loaded into your cyberloader. Once loaded into the cyberloader, it cannot be resold.

fallen if you reload your gun with a clip, is the ammo left over reused or is the ammo lost?

fallen if you reload your gun with a clip, is the ammo left over reused or is the ammo lost? It returns to your cyberloader so you can use it next time. If you were using pistols, but buy a rifle and start using that in your next fight, the pistol armour you had 'left over' from your last encounter is back in the cyberloader. (And your guns always start a fight fully loaded, assuming your cyberloader had enough bullets to begin with, so you don't need to reload manually at the end of a fight.)

Don't forget that even though you have a runner, he is pretty much a Meatshield at this point. Try and get your Athletics and your main weapon ability up, since Athletics helps you run circles around your opponents. Getting your athletics up, I agree, is a good idea. Getting your main weapon skill up, I do not think is. If your main weapon is a glove, then you don't need to improve it. You need to buy a shock glove from the Black Row, when you are allowed to go there. If your main weapon is a gun, you have a problem as hitting things are hard. The four ways to improve this are a) raise firearms b) buy a gun with more accuracy c) buy a gun with more speed so you shoot more buillets per round d) make sure that your opponents are 'in the pink' ... at the marked optimum position for shooting them ... when you shoot them. But you need to raise firearms _a whole lot_ before investing in the skill begins to pay off. Buying a better gun works for you immediately. However, most of the good accuracy rifles are also 4AP weapons. Moving around to get your opponents 'in the pink' costs AP as well. Thus, every biginner knight needs more AP more than they need more firearms. Snipers need is more than the other sorts because it takes more moving to get a rifle shot lined up and in the pink because its range is longer than a pistol. To get more AP raise INT PER and DEX. You get 1 more AP for ever 2 points you spend this way (DEX + INT + PER)/2 rounded up). If you are playing a gunslinger make sure you get a matched set of 2 pistols. Blasta guns are pistols, and they are good starter weapons. Dual shooting rocks!
