I saw this effect twice over the past 2 days, but so far haven't been able to reliably reproduce it. (And I don't remember exactly all the details, because the effect was so surprising that I was in shock for about a second and completely forgot what happened before. ) And I'm not even sure if this is intentional or not. However, I'm posting it here anyway just to raise the awareness of a potential problem in the way counterattacks are handled.
Basically, I've been trying to spec my melee captain to have as high a counter-attack percentage as possible (War Shield + Legion Command + Aegis Defense + Darkline Kit, and 12 Tactics). The 2nd time this effect happened was on Stratos: Central Airlock. I had decided that instead of retreating into the center semi-secure zone twice, I'd only do that once after striking the TP on the east, then move my entire squad into the west, take the TP, and go straight up along the outside to hit the last TP and extraction point on the north (thus leaving the north airlock door locked, blocking more xeno from pouring in through there after my squad abandons the central TP). While working my way up from the west TP, a large horde of xeno with several brood mothers came charging from the north, and my captain charged forward to battle with them. At a certain point, I'm not 100% sure I remember correctly, but it went something like, my captain attacked a brood mother with Slash, and the brood mother dodged, then struck back, and then something happened in the game, I'm not sure what, but it seems something went wrong as I suddenly lost control and the brood mother charged southwards by 4-5 squares before resting -- in the middle of my turn! -- before control was returned to me. I think it may have something to do with the fact that at 51% counter-attack, even though my captain missed, the brood mother's counterattack triggered another counter-attack from my captain, and at that point something went haywire in the game, maybe because of looping counter-attacks, causing a malfunction that allowed the brood mother to, apparently, "steal" a turn to move 4-5 squares in the middle of the player's turn. It was rather unsettling, I have to say!
The other time this happened was also something related to counter-attacks, but as that was the first time it happened I was in shock and forgot exactly what led up to it. I suspect it may have been the same, or related, cause.
I apologize for this vague information, but it was in the heat of battle at the time and since the strange effect didn't seem to have any long-term ill effects I didn't stop to write it down and it was only later that it occurred to me that I should probably report it as a bug. This was on Battleforce 2.4.19, Samsung Galaxy A5 running Android 6.0.1.
