Each Xeno species does have specific characteristics. Hopefully other will come along and provide what they know.
If you go to the Empire Summary screen and click the button with three dots and three lines to the left of the Faction Button, you will come to screen that provides some info about the Xeno you are playing against._
I'm not sure if the online game manual has any info, but it appears to be offline anyhow.

Alright thanks. On the other hand my ship designs are extremely powerful particularly my torp boats but my Pi ships barely cut it

You bet. Currently on rim playing hard and hitting Xeno hard
