Done the research for the mesa hawk fighter,but when I check in the alta mesa build ships slot it isn't there, just the standard fighter designs. Is there some other research needs doing or am I missing something? Help appreciated. ...

Do you mean there just isn't a pre-made design for an Alta Mesa fighter, or are you saying you can't make a custom one either?

I don't think there is a pre made design for the Hawk... You need to start a new design from scratch from the designer menu, IIRC

There doesn't seem to be a premade design.(or a custom option).I'd have thought that there would be, as it's marked on the research tree. Which is why I did the research in the first place. Not too clued up on ship design so I tend to use the off-the-peg types.

Oops it might not have finished researching fully yet. The green lock went off the tree , and I got a notification but it's still counting down turns to complete. I'll let you know what happens. ....

There isn't a canned design for Alta-Mesa because of the technology mix -- there isn't a single viable ship we can make that would be 100% tech-ready and still appropriate.
Most of the later ships require custom designs. That's just how the game works.

No , it's done. Shame about that , it could do with fixing. Mind you ,it'll spur me on to design my own ships. Every cloud etc. Thanks for the speedy help,I'd have spent hours trying to get that sorted.
