We had a nasty little bug introduced in the filters for weapon and armor shops. To fix that, we've turned around another quick release. The bonus is, that instead of being a simple patch, we've added a few nice features and other xies as well. There are now fast travel options between the Freeport ferry, Granthorn, and Brunehorn. Once you've secured the area, you can move quickly between these three locations by boat. In preparation for Episode 4's new story content, we've improved Vincent's original Legendary items. Zap 'em! We fixed an issue where magical resistance (+16 Lightning Res) on magical weapons was being ignored. Finally, we fixed the armor and weapon shop filter bug! v4.2.75 - 1/1/2016 - Added fast travel options between Freeport ferry, Brunehorn and Granthorn - Improved Vincent's original legendary items - Fixed issue where magical resistance from weapons was ignored - Fixed crash in weapon / armor shop filters

v4.2.75 - 1/1/2016 - Improved Vincent's original legendary items This is a good thing to read. Will this change be retroactive and work on items already owned? As far as I see it, Vincent's dagger hasn't improved in my game, or at least only marginally.

crimsonking - all items are retroactively improved. Not sure what dagger you are talking about -- the Stormcleave?

crimsonking - all items are retroactively improved. Not sure what dagger you are talking about -- the Stormcleave? Yep. At 2AP it is necessarily inferior to any 1AP weapon if you go with Sundering/Strickening, and that's basically what Sundering is for. Accuracy is great, but with Sundering maxed and some other buffs/debuffs, that shouldn't be an issue. Many melee builds will probably use another weapon.

crimsonking - okay, glad we are at least talking about the same weapon. That is the one that was enhanced, yes!

It's great that you enhanced it. The weapon definitely felt inferior and needed a bit of a boost. Again though, Vincent's relic issue is lack of choice. He has a lacklustre staff and a 2 AP sword. The others get armour and weapons (shields) of all varieties. I feel his relic choice would be much more satisfying with a robe option and a 1 AP blade option. Every other relic option seems like you can choose something for every build (which is awesome and encourages diversity) but Vincent feels shoehorned into lightning caster or subpar melee damage. I always pictured Vincent as lightning fast and getting many swings in with a lightning enhanced blade (and getting away with charged speed right after) and his relic options just doesn't play out that vision. It sucks to bench the blade immediately after getting it but honestly a 1 AP blade from act 1 would outperform it with my build and that is kinda disheartening.
I know he is planned to get another relic upgrade in the future, I am just mostly disappointed that I cannot choose a 1 AP blade or robe for him, not the lessened power level (as I know he has the advantage of receiving it earlier than anyone else) of the items.
Just to expand on what I mean by these options: 1 AP blade with competitive damage and stats compared to the 2 AP. A robe with +MP, parry, dodge, maybe lightning damage to encourage skirmisher playstyle (caster or melee). A staff with heavy damage, no SP for straight damage, no curse builds.

Thanks for the feedback! That's probably the missing piece to level things out.

Great to hear your thoughts, we will try harder in the future to make this more appealing.

The lack of choice is indeed glaring - in addition to the mediocre quality of the 2 existing relics (compared to what other characters get).

Congratulations on reaching over 80% positive reviews up on Steam for HoS now!
I finally got my review up thanks to another player on Steam who found the info of what was going wrong for me. Stupid Steam not liking long reviews... It's not even that long!

Congratulations on reaching over 80% positive reviews up on Steam for HoS now! I finally got my review up thanks to another player on Steam who found the info of what was going wrong for me. Stupid Steam not liking long reviews... It's not even that long! Really glad you figured that out. I saw that player post it to the Heroes forum as well and was floored, what a silly website issue ... and not giving any feedback! Many thanks for helping to put us up to 80%! The long lifecycle and aggressive updates continue to work for us
