Yeah. Another noob with noob questions. [shrug]
I've looked around the boards and have found lists and interactive graphs of available ships. However, most of these seem to be outdated having not been altered in 3 or 4 years. Since I haven't traveled the entire quadrant to see what there is to see, I'm wondering if anyone has an up to date list?
And while we're at it, is there a list of which upgrades negate which upgrades?

I've posted complete lists much more recently than 3 or 4 years! So sorry the forum search didn't turn up anything.
What is "upgrades that negate upgrades"? I don't know what that is.

These are two comprehensive lists of ships: StarTradersShips PDFMotion Chart of Contributed DatabasesThese are both great lists, but the interactive graphs made by pokerjunky , were created in 2011. I'm not sure when the pdf was posted. The interactive graphs list several ships as "old" so I assume they are no longer available. For example, the pdf lists the "Pilgrim Liner" which pokerjunky marks as "old". Meanwhile, in your announcement for update 6.1.19, you tell us there is a new ship: the Martus Jammer. So, I'm wondering if there is an up-to-date list of ships and their respective characteristics. Telling where they can be obtained would be nice too, but that kinda seems like a cheat.  What is "upgrades that negate upgrades"? I don't know what that is. As regards upgrades, I was not paying sufficient attention to my ship. I had gone to a shipyard and had a look at the upgrades being offered. I noticed that for a few of them, the "view" button was colored (not grayed out). After clicking on the button, I was not able to purchase it and there was text that said, "Your existing upgrades make installing this impossible in the Shipyard." I was mistaken in thinking some other previously installed upgrade had negated my ability to get the one I was viewing. As you know, I had already installed that particular upgrade so, of course, it could not be installed. I just misunderstood the text and neglected to look at the summary of already installed upgrades.  |

Upgrades are divided into categories. You can have one upgrade from each category. Some upgrades and be removed, and replaced with another upgrade from that category. Most upgrades are permanent, and cannot be removed once installed.
Upgrade availability is controlled by the Zone. Sometimes a particular upgrade won't be available in a specific Urban Zone. Some Ship Upgrades require the Elite edition. Some Ship Upgrades require Unlocks (Awards on specific difficulties.)

There are two ships in that list, 'Khold Jammer' and 'Lowwe Cutter' that are not in the game yet, but will be in the next update.
That's how up to date this list is, it is more up to date than the game.

I don't think I will ever buy Cyber knights, since I am not really interested in it... But I have the rest. Even the St Empires 4x.
