So I'm escaping out of Red Hill using no talents with range except heals on NM... I can see acc is gonna be a problem - I may need to give party buffs an exception for TB if CS -dodge can't see me thru til FU and Reck... Also Selen REALLY wants a second dagger for Thurgrim since she can't level PB until she kills 'im... Vincent is useless in that battle with no weapon (Who took his long blade, Selen?) and is forbidden from LS cause rabbits are dumb...

I'm playing Amazon version on my phone atm and...
Off dmg..? Enemies say upto 40dmg, but I'm getting hit for at least 37 at times with 5 toughness and 8 armor on Vincent and 34 on Fyona with 7 tough and 10 armor. Is toughness all a die roll? Even still numbers don't quite match...
Seems a little off ... do enemies do more dmg than listed, or is it rounded to rough estimates after armor or something? What am I missing?
Was vs spiders and war hunds escaping Red Hill.
Another weird thing, giant rat moved around 10 spaces in a single turn, first ratkins in the escape.
Either Amazon doesn't work great on my phone, game thinks my pure melee run is weird, I'm dumb and missing something or there are strange gremlins afoot...
z981 Android 6.0.1 with Amazon underground app HoS 4.2.33
I hope it's not a bug menagerie, at least not for anyone else.

That implies the numbers are off too... That's why I was asking. With 8 armor plus 5 tough I should soak at least 6 (4+2), so no more than 34 (32 cause dice) dmg from an enemy that says upto 40 dmg - Vincent took 37, Fyona took 34 with higher soak. It makes me wonder about at least some of the extra dmg I was taking from what I thought was the elemental effects bug... Also doesn't talk about giant rats being able to move 10 spaces a turn...

wascalwywabbit - the print out in the monster detail box indicates the basic attack of the creature. That does not mean that the creature cannot use attack talents against you that will do more damage. Without further details about the actual enemy you were facing, my bet is that the monster used one of its attack talents against you. A lot of the updates in the last few months have added more attack talents to more monsters. I've never seen any monster move outside of their allowed amount. Did the monster pass into the fog during the movement? Perhaps a different giant rat came out the far side, and there were actually 2 in the combat?

No fog in the area, and I definitely killed only one giant rat and combat ended. First time I remember seeing it happen too. Fast enemy move was on, looked like it moved more than ten, but was at least ten (counting spaces start to end move). It walked all the around a wall. I'm guessing it's a weird device specific bug unless I see it happen again elsewhere. As for dmg, it's the first time I've played nm early game paying close attention to the numbers, so I guess I've been hit with enemy empowered attacks..? I'd seen it later game, but just now noticed it this early I guess. Enemies were (black I think) spiders and first war hunds.

Team is still making it through Krellim Deeps. Efficiency is terrible, acc is barely passing, but they haven't managed to die yet despite having no range except heals and only had to dip into potions on an accidental double pull - two shamans were too much in one go. Got good stealth item drops for the start so haven't had to raise those skills/talents yet, I will need the talent for mp anyhow given all the repositioning, but no usable weapon drops yet. I'm hoping for weapon drops to improve both acc and efficiency, and trying to eak it out until I have at least 1 ap removal at CS 5.
Edit: Why am I just now noticing that party buffs work on one more character than the skill level it's based on? Dumb bunny...

Patience and perseverance, my friend. And a lot of free time.
