I don't know if I'm understanding the Google Cloud Services option under the "Roster" button on the main menu. I purchased the game, and started playing on a new character on my first device. I was under the impression that I would be able to save that character to the cloud, and access that same character on my second device. However, I am unable to do so. Is this not how Google Cloud Services works?
As far as logistics go, I am logged into the same Google account on both devices. The strange part is, I checked which apps are connected to my Google account, and Star Traders RPG is NOT one of them. I have tried looking into giving ST all available permissions, and it still doesn't want to connect. Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks in advance!

lingo - Star Traders RPG does not support Google Cloud Services. The transfer button is for those players who started playing on Free, and want to transfer captains to the premium version of the app on the same device. Here is a walkthrough we published on how you can backup / restore / transfer saved games without rooting your device - www.tresebrothers.com/transfer-saved-games-between-devices/

The link fallen posted is definitely helpful, but what he said about Google Cloud Services support isn't exactly true for Star Traders RPG. The game supports the original version of Google Cloud Services, before they made all the changes and reduced the service to an unusable disaster for game developers like us So, if your phone+device+provider+region all support the previous version of Google Cloud Services, you can restore (on install only) your games to a new device. Be aware that Google is reducing / eliminating access to Google Cloud Services on a device, provider, region and model basis. Sorry. Unfortunately there are only two of us and we don't really charge enough money to matter to Google from a support standpoint. Hopefully someday in the future we'll win the lotto or something and can use the money to force people to be cool / provide good cloud support.
