This will get interesting. because, if I find a good choke point, then I can freeze the AI monsters in place and slowly pick them off

richard - yep, that is possible! I wouldn't rank it the most fun way to play, but if you continually retreat and cram your team into corners and gain advantage over the AI, very possible

Yes. but when there is large number of monster, it is a good way to not get killed

Yes. but when there is large number of monster, it is a good way to not get killed Definitely, retreating to a point of tactical advantage is a great strategy. Choke points are very important on higher difficulties.

It is a trade off that is easy to analyze in the turn data.
The game is more balanced because we made these decisions in AI design.
We've gotten a tremendous amount of positive feedback on the AI, and I'm glad you are starting to explore it as well.
I think you'll find he is a challenging, if somewhat predictable, enemy.
This "total slaughter avoidance" behavior is one that has won us many five stars. I'm glad you like it as well!
