New player struggling with the interface

Hello everyone.

I just purchased the elite edition without playing the free version first because I know I will enjoy this game.

Unfortunately I am totally confused by the interface! I use android. There doesn't appear to be a guide to using the interface without having to constantly switch screens hoping to find what I need (:

If anyone has a link to a good interface tutorial so I can play efficiently I would be very grateful

I took a quick look through the forum, but can't find any threads dealing with the system UI, but when you start a new game there is a quick tutorial on the interface, and if you click on the help button on the main menu and choose Introduction and scroll to the bottom, there is some information on the interface.
