After a long day of brute-forcing my way through Matrix firewalls, nearly getting "geeked" by snipers in high heat zones (thank you Yakuza and K. Horizon, thou art my favorite adversaries), and brushing off the toxic mess on my kraken nanosuit after the dome ceiling collapsed on me twice whilst mad dashing and dodging bullets on my way out of the Back Bay Slums into friendly Los V turf (whom I'm also gleefully betraying to Streets for chump change via Cognac while Los V continues to amusingly call me an "Exemplar Gangsta"), it's such a relief to pay the 25 creds tab at my favorite local inn, or crash at my closest leased pad to have all my agonizing woes washed clean in just 12 hours, and actually getting stronger in the process (thanks to the time-honored Conan the Barbarian's "What doesn't kill you..." rule). The Trauma Inn is one of my favorite tropes of all time. I grew up playing RPG's most of my life, and games that had the mighty healing powers of the TI were often such godsends, and CK is no exception. Link to the article on TVTropes: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TraumaInnI really think CK should be added to that list of video game examples, don't you?

don't worry it won't remain this simple for long. hotels will be for resolving exhaustion, not wounds -- with the exception of MP and the first 3 points of HP (at a +1 HP per day rate.)
this is just waiting for a few dependent features to be enabled. hope that helps =)

Makes it more believable, and my character feeling less unstoppable on Crazy mode. I relish the challenge (if only running away from roof collapses were dependent on Attributes rather than Heat. Getting hit by the crumbling dome currently does the most damage to me second only to random sniper attacks). Since you're going this route, would it also be possible to ask street docs for total healing at a higher cost (dependent on the value of points needing healing up to 8 HP) rather than the current +1 per visit, or should that just be left up to buying health kits?

Im guessing some of those contacts may be enabled as on call med aid later
Just a guess though.
Never know,we may get life insurance later on that calls an angry strike force in to save our about to walk into the light @$$es.
Contacts seem more reasonable, plus honestly there are plenty of doc offices in NBZ...if you can just crawl quietly enough to get there when you need to.

Instead of an ANGRY strike force, I'd much rather a crack-team of cybernetic ninjas armed with plasma-katanas and cloaking tehnology to finish off what I couldn't. ;D

Id rather use a tactical nuke. Old, but reliable. The only downside is that you need to be atleast 50 miles away when it explodes... Very VERY bad for stealth.

Nah, you just need to get out of the dome which could contain the nukey destruction since it is so sturd-ermm... sorry... yes, 50 miles.

MARTyr teams or Doc wagons (Medical Alert Response Team)
Think of TA in CK. 4 man squad, high priced armor, weapons, and all cybered up.
Maybe you've heard of them chummer.

I wonder...is CK in the same universe as ST and TA? Would be interesting to think that CK is the prequel story to the other two games, very loosely connected, and separated by many centuries of time. (just realized he's hijacking his own thread) Uhh, one more thing about healing: can health kits be multiple use if electronics skill is high enough to properly use the nanos without using it all up at once?

lostdecade Yes,they get downgraded if the roll is successful. I think it would be more interesting if CK was after...as in everything went to hell and this is what's left.

Cool! i've actually never tried a medkit with electronics higher than 3 or so. I've got it up to 8 now. I'll give it a shot next time I do get shot ((shakes fist at snipers that almost GEEK me)). Btw, isn't ST/TA taking place in an entirely different part of the galaxy, or in another galaxy altogether? Why would they go back to Earth? It sounds like no one in the Quadrant is interested in going back. There's references to the old world or worlds or something like that. I think the ST tech is far more advanced than even what's in CK, and in the time before the start of the game when man had control of the Narvidians, that it was even more advanced if I'm not mistaken.

Its like this Lostdecade.
Last of humanity crashes on planet, renames it earth, totally starts over, scientists and enginears can't do to much without an industry/proper labs and tools so most of the tech dies with them....teaching new generations super tech is very hard without some kinda hands on experience.
Didn't see the end battlestar galactica? ;D
Remember I said everthing went to hell and this is what's left.

The games will never seek to participate in an explained unified world. It puts too many odd requirements on both games. There will be familiar moments for those who explore our worlds. They may drink Vudka or pray to the Maker

#1. You can already get rapid technical healing at the doctor. #2. MedKits can be used twice #3. High DV Characters Heal Slower #4. Avoiding Dome IS Controlled by Attributes #5. Mobile Doctors move between back rooms
