So, ROBBING BUILDINGS! Hardness level would vary on different buildings, and not all buildings should be robbable. Loot would be items of all kinds and cash, like robbing a store would reward with the items the shop is selling. Combat would consist of possible guards guarding the building, and reinforcements.(i made a thread about them too)then the more success you get in combat the more you can rob, until you have emptied the building or you escape. And also a contract where the combat could be similar(sabotage/strike?).
And it could adapt with some current plans cory(or andrew?) ...tomd(missing a word)

When the building interiors are implemented, I suspect it would be one of the things we could do. ;D

When the building interiors are implemented, I suspect it would be one of the things we could do. ;D Interiors would dramatically improve CK by leaps and bounds. I can hardly wait! It would make the assassination/capture jobs make so much more sense (for now, I just assume they run out a hidden back door Secret Service style with the fugitive before the combat starts). Most of the best moments in the 16-bit Shadowrun console games were indoor fights (especially the SNES version...the Genesis version's interiors weren't nearly as exciting or diverse). And forget stealing physical stuff. Haha. That's fine for you gunslingers and cyberswords trapped in your primitive world of bullets, sweat, and explosions, but I know the real living is to be made in hacking, and treasure for me would be busting into a megacorp computer somewhere in the upper floors of their HQ after my team wipes the deck with the blood of the pansy security goons, and me systematically disabling their security grid while taking 10MP or more at a time of paydata worth such that it makes the stuff you pull off the street terminals look like a child's allowance worth. 75k for a 1000MP of data? Please. Try 125k or higher! This is top grade info, chummer. Off short bank accounts, top secret tech prototypes, sex tapes! Suddenly, those Rating 10 and higher computers don't look so far away, and I can liberally load my team down with heavy guns, Hades hardsuits, and cyber gear that pushes the DV past the 200 mark. Ahhh...one can dream.

I don't mind only being able to steal physical things, everything I need to be fully effective tops out at about 25000 yen and I'm done...poor hackers, "must get more paydata so I can buy a new computer so that I can get more paydata to buy a new computer.....
Its like being hooked on a collectable card game...the upgrades only cease when the people get tired of paying. ;D

Robbing buildings is too simple an explanation for what we are going to do.
There will be rumors / jobs to rip off Drops once Drops are turned on for you to use.
Interior jobs will be complex, like SR SEGA done correctly.

poor hackers, "must get more paydata so I can buy a new computer so that I can get more paydata to buy a new computer..... It's a vicious cycle I tell ya, but if I could buy a mach 1+ nuclear armed gunship disguised as a Bell 222 helicopter, and hire a crazy Fennian pilot addicted out of his mind on crammers to fly it, I would! ;D Oh sweet mother of... ((falls over in total bliss and has a 16-bit nightmare of someone in a red shirt named Joshua and his cybered-up team getting wiped out near an Indian reservation by some demon looking things in a dark cave...))

Since we are on this topic... How come there is only a sly reference to Harlequin from SR in the Genesis version. They could have done so much more with him. IDC that he was a cheap-off of The Joker in cyberpunk...
but he was a mean badass

IDC that he was a cheap-off of The Joker in cyberpunk... but he was a mean badass Well, there was at least a Jester spirit in the SNES version, and he was really badass. Not the same thing, I know. Now that I mention it, shamanism in CK would be really interesting...

Harlequin goes back to pre-SR as well, some of Tom Dowd's short stories contain him as a trickery spirit.

hey he could have been a certain "famous" drow. lol, wouldn't it be hilarious if there was a "Randall Flagg" type figure throughout games... could he be a dark elf? a trickster spirit? a Les Enfant terrible ... RF is THE consummate obligatory Antagonist.
