Just downloaded the app for MAC OS and I am receiving the error: '"StarTraders2" is damaged and cant' be opened. You should move it to the Trash.' Verified the MD5 hash so the file downloaded correctly. I am currently running MAC OS version 10.12.2 (Sierra).
I did sample a little bit on my Android phone. Cannot wait until I'm off work to dive into it.

I am still on El Capitan and it is so far working well. Only in character creation at the moment.

Yeah there seem to be lots of reports of people having issues with GateKeeper and applications they're downloading reporting as damaged.
I'll keep working on it and see if there is some workaround on my end that doesn't require so much fiddling by users.

That loophole's been closed in OSX 10.12.x as well.

Yeah, it looks like for 10.12.x you have to entire turn it off, which seems to be what I have done on my macs.
I'm trying to figure out if we can even do alpha testing on Mac OS X 10.12.x at all, or if this is something that Apple has just fully banned.

ST2 Alpha Workaround Instructions for macOS Sierra (10.12.x) Summary: OSX used to give an option to install apps from 'unknown developers', but has since removed the option from OSX 10.12.x; it is possible to restore the capability using the Terminal app. The below instruction turns off the restriction, adjusts the settings of the security setup, installs ST2, then turns your security back on. Followed carefully, any user should be fine in completing. - Ensure you have QUIT System Preferences
- Open the Terminal app from the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and then enter the following command syntax: sudo spctl --master-disable
- Hit return and authenticate with an admin password
- Launch System Preferences and go to “Security & Privacy” and the “General” tab
- You will now see the “Anywhere” option under ‘Allow apps downloaded from:’ Gatekeeper options
- Select “Anywhere”
- Close System Preferences
- Ctrl-click/Open StarTraders2, confirm that it’s okay to open from an unidentified developer. (Right-click/Open should work as well)
- App will open to starting screen
- Return to the Terminal app and enter the following command syntax: sudo spctl --master-enable
- Close Terminal App
- Open System Preferences/Security & Privacy/General to confirm that “Anywhere” option is again hidden
While you might need to repeat this for future builds, this is pretty good workaround that doesn’t compromise your system for the term of the alpha testing. And it’s just 2 lines of code. And you are playing ST2 on a Mac! I’ll update once we get a new build to confirm if it needs repeating. reference article here

Confirming that ST2 1.0.17 can be installed on 10.12.x without a workaround needed (hurray!). Security settings (Security & Privacy/General) needs only to be set to allow apps to be download from 'App Store and identified developers. Great job Cory
Tested on iMac 27" and MacBook Pro 13 Retina

SWEET! That is such great news.
I'm glad we were able to get this worked out. Future builds for alpha Mac OS X will use this.
Thanks to Apple support for the assist.
