First of all, I really like that you can go over your allotment and then scale things back down to get under budget. But on my android tablet it is too hard to get the last stat reduced to the number you want. Grrr. I want 16, not 18 and not 15 ... wiggle wiggle wiggle curse.
What I like best in the number picking business is a slider, just as you have, that in addition has a small - in a button on its left side and a small + in a button on its right side. Use the slider to get things close to what you want. Then use + and - to get the last little bit. Added benefit that people who hate sliders can just go 'tap tap tap tap tap'.
