Following the directions in the email was easy. I changed my security setting to allow installation of non-Google-Play apps on my Nexus 5X, created a HockeyApp account no problem. The HockeyApp was slow to download and I had a strong WiFi signal. The HockeyApp was very slow when I opened, it took for ever to load ST2 game information. HockeyApp did NOT seem to make progress in downloading ST2 after several attempts. Then I restarted the phone and ST2 downloaded rapidly. HockeyApp automatically filled in my device and OS info.
When opening ST2 i got this message "Google Play Error: Application error: MISSING_PERMISSION". Clicking cancel brought me to the game, which performed well.
I had fun creating template and starting my first game. The font and controls were smaller than optimal for my 5 inch screen. I kept sending my ship to unintended destinations when I meant to hit control buttons.
I had my first fight and got my ass kicked. Whoopee.
This is the first non-Google-Play app I've ever installed, which is exciting.

That MISSING_PERMISSION thing is a known issue and will be fixed in the next update. We're working on the fonts -- congrats on being the first person to point out the tiny size I'll pass the report of performance issues with HockeyApp along to Microsoft.

Hiya, it may have been just a local issue with tenbsmith install, for me the android download and install was fast and without any lag or glitches save the known permission note. The font on a Samsung galaxy are a bit small but it's not bad at all, still very playable.Weekend coming up I cant wait to check the game out 😊

saltin - we're working on upping the font and sizes a bit, but it takes adaptations to most of the game's UIs. It will be a slow process, but we'll get there! Thanks for posting and welcome aboard, Captain!
