grävling, could you be remembering the Status Screen? On that screen the parenthetical is only the bonus.

fallenDoes the skills max of 10 include any bonus points? One of my starting officers has +4 bonus negotiate and +5 bonus intimidate. I was planning to make him a diplomat, but would that cause the skill caps to be reached early as he levelled up the diplomat job? It seems odd that I wouldn't make the best natural negotiator the diplomat.

The Skill 10 max is only a limit during captain creation. That is all.

Migrated the Dice Mechanics rules to the WIKI. Hopefully a breakdown of just how each skill affects what would be great, perhaps with breakdowns like Navigation 30 ~ -3 fuel-cost reduction/space moved... etc.... or the like. So people could start to tweak better between skills depending on what kinds of things they run into
