In the template creation... For skills especially: Show what the 'default' skill levels are. Watching the tutorial how the 'skills' section is 'additional skills' not given by the professions/jobs... It would be nice to know just what is there to start with so that you DON'T accidentally 'double down'

OK we will see what we can do on this front as the UI evolves.

Thanks, agreed. We've already got #ST2-3331 in to show the exact skills and jobs you are getting from each profession pick & priority, so you can see exactly what you're asking about.

As another small suggestion, when we are assigning skills to our attributes, would it be possible to give some kind of indication of what is a relatively average score? We know that 26 is the max, and more is always better, but at what point does an attribute score become bad? Like, is a score of 13 considered pretty much run of the mill, or is it something that the player should be wary of?

Must say it currently is a bit depressing when I create my brand new captain who has ability priority set to 5 and then I see everyone on my crew has higher stats accross the board unless I've dumped all my points into one attribute. Perhaps setting the starting baseline for attributes higher/closer to the galactic average and then giving fewer points to spend would be better. Having to spend all my points to give my main character slightly(grossly?) below average attributes just feels wrong to me. Example current template has my Captain with 7strength, 10quickness, 10fortitude, 8(10) charisma, 15wisdom, 10resilience at level 6. No one on my crew has a single attribute lower than 14 with average appearing to be high teens low 20s and a few with attributes much higher (one officer has 22strength, 19quickness, 25fortitude, 21charisma, 23wisdom, 40resilience with Steady and Adventurous traits so no boost to stats there)

Thanks for the feedback, we'll take a look at start Crew attributes.

Perhaps setting the starting baseline for attributes higher/closer to the galactic average and then giving fewer points to spend would be better. I feel the same. For me, with all stat-increasing d&d inspired games -- after you have won the game a few times, it is often fun to experiment with a personal character who is significantly poorer quality than the run-of-the-mill, but for my first runs, I want to have a character who is significantly _better_ than everybody else. I'm a superhero, after all. I can afford to make lots of foolish mistakes, which I won't even know are mistakes until it is too late, because I am that much better! Bwaahaahaa! I don't want to be constantly looking at my crew and thinking, you know, you would be a whole lot better at my job than I am. Right now, at character creation you start with your chars at the minimum level for your ABCDE selection choice. And if you pick a higher level selection, it means that your minimum level is higher. This means that you start out being stuck in the well-rounded jack-of-all trades mode. I'd be happier (when it comes to creating them, God knows what _playing_ them would be like) if captains started with stats they could reduce as well as raise. I am getting a bit of the 'sigh, what good does it do me for this magician character to have WISDOM of 16?' feeling. Is it important to be balanced across the board? Are my stats so utterly crappy that reducing any of them below the minimum is suicidal? It's not as if I have been successful enough, even on basic, that this counts as an informed, let alone expert opinion....
