That there are none is a mobile thing, correct? People on Macs and Windows get to see them?

Mobile doesn't have support for a "hover" input right now. I'm working on making long press do something similar to hover.
We will make sure their is data parity between PC and Android before release, but right now there are missing parts.

Honestly I think all this hover stuff is nice, but it isn't the type of data exploration that people are going to really want.
They're not going to want to have to hover over a half dozen planets to see that this zone has 3 Refineries and 2 Mines.
They're going to want a chart viewer for the quadrants that doesn't make them mouse, and lets them sort and filter.
So we're definitely working on improved mobile support but that's not where we plan to stop on this.

I have never liked hover all that much, as a feature for maps, anyway. Right now on the galactic map all I can see is 'that there are many planets here'. If I want to load up on missions, I want to know the names of every planet so I can plan which ones I want to visit in which order.

Not sure how the names would help, but definitely more information here is needed for the player on mobile.
This part we'll be able to take beyond Star Traders RPG pretty dramatically with the new map systems in ST2.

This part we'll be able to take beyond Star Traders RPG pretty dramatically with the new map systems in ST2. Gabby Rashasu wants me to deliver a person to Valencia on Leiwin in Joliba Basin. I've been to planet after planet, have more missions stacked, and still have no idea where Valencia is. Either that or I have forgotten. I want to know if I can fit this delivery into my busy schedule, or if taking it on means that one of my existing commitments is going to be late. To do this, I would really like to know where Valencia is.

By the way, I am really, really happy about the new '0 hyperjump' in system delivery missions for new captains. THANK YOU.
(And, eeeh, it is 09:00 here now. And I said I would only play until 03:00 or so. Time to nap before a meeting at 14:00)

We're planning to improve the variety of missions in that early phase, but keep them all very easy and friendly. They could just be more contact appropriate (Smuggler vs. Prince). Either way, you should be able to get a good cushion of credits right away.
