Maybe its just my memories of STRPG, but I've found myself missing being able to view my current missions from the status screen. I can't remember right now exactly why, but will update this as/when I remember.

bookworm21 - ok, let us know! The design shows pushing everything that is non-status down to the map views (Galactic or Quadrant). Status is for managing ship and crew, not for viewing information about where you should fly. But, that's just the design. We'd love to hear more from other players.

I still can't remember, so chalk that up to old habits.

I've had a few times on the planet wishing I could take a peek at my missions (did I complete them all?, how many left? do I have a jump coming up, so I should refuel?) In the current revision 1.0.17, I was thinking that it could be to the left of the status button in the upper right (or be another button in the status area).
Not too annoying, but right now I have to go back to orbit to check.
(Is it the same with rumors?)

I want to be able to find out about my missions any time I feel like it, not just when in orbit. Also I want an easier way to get to contacts I am supposed to meet. Planets that have more than one settlement are hard to use on android.

Right now, to find a contact that doesn't seem to be present I just go tappity tappity tappity all over the planet just hoping there is another spot there. Sometimes, aha, I find something. Sometimes my problem is that this wretch is on the orbital and I am looking on the surface. I'd really like to know as soon as I start orbiting how many settlements there are.

I'm further confused.
The World Orbit screen shows directly if there is one or two Zones on the planet, their ratings, and presents a button to land one each.
Beneath the each Zone details block, are icons to show if Fuel / Contact / Missions are available on that zone.
Are we talking about the same screen?
--
Regarding Contact locations, are you using the Contacts list available from the Map Menu?

Either I found a planet where there are 2 zones but only one land button, or one of my contacts wasn't there when I went looking for him and I had to try again flying into the planet on a different angle. I haven't seen a planet that lists more than one Zone to land on from world orbit, so this was what I was asking for. Looks like I am supposed to already be getting what I am already asking for. EDIT: AHA! Nevermind, my problem was that the Zone was suffering from a Quarantine .....

Rumors and Missions need to be available from both planet and status screens. Knowing what I need to do helps planning and having to leave planet to figure out what I have going or to find those rumors affecting my intended destination is a pain and can be costly in terms of fuel and potential failed rolls.
Not sure it's possible with the jump points and multiple quadrants but also missing a simple way to view the destination/s and intended routes for missions.

Same, also missing the map tab that could be accessed through through the status button in strpg when viewing a contact.

What do you missing the map tab? Is that a bug report for ST RPG? Help!

Sorry poor choice of words. I miss being able to reference a map when being offered a contract as you can in #1.

Sorry poor choice of words. I miss being able to reference a map when being offered a contract as you can in #1. Got it. Thanks for the feedback. We very well might need to include something like that in ST2, we shall see as we test out the mission system. System is a bit different now for the player, a map might help ... might be better ways to represent. Have to keep experimenting.
