Please define everything else. All other weapons on a single Crew? All weapons on all Crew? All Offficers? All Officers in all games on all devices?

Armor?
The other weapon?
What job?
What skills does the character have?
Crew or officer?
What fencing dagger exactly?

Equiping a dueling dagger in off hand or snubber as primary weapon will unequip the characters armor and in the case of the dagger also any weapon in primary hand such as an infantry blade or pistol.
Happens with all characters.
Also equiping Infantry Blade in primary unequips armor.
Note this is happening with initial starting armory and weapons on Guardian Interceptor at start of game. Not sure if higher level armory weapons or more skilled crew have same issues.

In my case, I had just started a new game. Had a Zealot captain. Was doing a level up on him when I saw the second weapon slot. Clicked on it and select the Fencing dagger. Went back to previous screen and his main weapon and armor were now unequipped. Had to redo them.

Sounds relatively easy to reproduce. I'll see what I can figure out@

I just bought a new shotgun and it did this as well. I equiped the new weapon and this droped the armor.Interestingly it only does that the first time,if I redo this again the armor stays equiped but it will do it again if I equip it on a new character. Ohh,also I am assuming we already know the [Equipment] button on the android version does not work? (ie:it does nothing when pressed) I can only equip via the [Stat]

saltin What program are you using to annotate your screenshots? I am hauling them away to my laptop, then using the GIMP, you seem to be more efficient at this than I am.

Sure, I use the PicsArt Photo Studio app from google store but there are many other products that work just as well, main difference on this one is the ads are not annoying. The free version works well and has many of the basic features. It has a solid rating of 4.4/5 which is pretty amazing considering the app has 300 million downloads. The [Callout] feature is used to add comments on a pic, you can also use direct text, block, stickers and whatever else you prefer. You can then share the final pic within the app to facebook ect..or just store it and then upload it to a forum or elsewhere.

This was a big mess, linked into the auto-equip and manual-equip complexity of the game.
All crew are automatically equipped by the onboard weapon locker. If there is no weapon locker, they get Basic weapons. Auto-equip looks at their skills (Pistols, Rifles, Melee) and Talents to determine what weapon is best suited to their build.
IF you go in and start manually picking their weaponry, they remember that pick and the auto-equip stops working for that slot only. If you give your Pistoleer a blade, he will keep it. If the weapon locker is changed on board the ship, he will equip the new blade.
Somewhere in that mess, manually equipping was causing auto equipping to flip out.
Fixed for next!

It seems like a lot of little AIs have been freaking out and rebelling
