Early missions

So started new game trying new template where I have only 1 contact at start.
Was very happy when first mission was 0 jump navigation.
However every mission since then that's offered is 3-5 jump range with payment deferred until return and final completion of the missions.

This is on latest version that supposedly was going to offer better early game missions. Game is on normal.

Wow you only got one in system before it went up? I got around 7 before it started increasing and then they were only in the 2-5 range.

The average for players who have started new games on the new map is 5.4 missions. The high score is 20!

Getting only 1 is definitely on the very extreme low end. Sorry for the bad experience.

Good news is that most people are getting lots of missions in, and making AVG 20K in the first few hundred turns.

The starter missions last for the first 300 turns. So, if you don't take advantage of that window, you can get a very small number.

Perhaps try a new Captain and focus on quick execution of a few missions without much dally.
