What made me notice this that I have the achievements for reaching level 25 and 35, but not for reaching levels 5 and 15. This also makes me wonder what other locked achievements I've missed.
The probable cause of this is that I have a tendency to play while completely disconnected from the world (no wifi or data running), and not always signed into play games.. though I am trying to be more aware of this and be signed in, even when disconnected (not sure if this would make a difference since I'm disconnected anyway).
I do have 2 screenshots illustrating this issue if they would help i could send them to you.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for playing our games!  -- If you were not signed in (connected or otherwise) then the Achievement won't record. I'll contact Google and see if they have any suggestions. I test offline (while signed in) achievements with each release, and that feature does work. If you missed it because of signed-out status, my apologies. |

No, I missed that part... but even if I didn't miss it I still would have been surprised. It's NOT uncommon for people or companies to say something like that, but it IS uncommon to follow through on it - my hat is off to the whole Trese team! Thanks for the welcome |

Thanks for the welcome Unfortunately, Google's support for this kind of request is not always quick or helpful. You could try clearing your Google Play cache under Settings > Apps > Google Play. We hope you'll check out our other games, tell a friend, and leave a review on the game. As a 2 man studio, we rely on our fans to "follow thru" and help get the word out  |

In case you were curious, clearing the Google Play Games cache had no effect. After that, I cleared the cache for Google Play Services and Store. Everything else in the Google Play family was disabled and cleared already. Since clearing the Play Games cache didn't do anything, I figured I would clear them all in case they shared cache.

One thing about those achievements that is exacerbating the equation -- we adhere to the suggested use of the API which is "don't spam a lot." Once you pass level 25, we stop submitting (spamming) level 5 and 15. So I am not sure that you're going to get those, but there is clear proof that for a solid part of the game (while you gained at least 15 levels) you were not logged into GPlay games or there was a bug on the rampage. |

There is a VERY high probability that I was not logged in during that time. There is no doubt of that, even from me. I was just unfamiliar in the workings of the GPlay achievements, and at the time, surprised to see that I achieved the level 25 one without the 5 and 15, and whatever else I missed along the way... if I missed out and there is no going back, so be it. I'll get those on my next play through |

Nathan - glad we were able to track down the explanation. The way we do it has caused some consternation in the past, but we try hard to stick to the API guidelines.

Me too, now I know more about how the GPlay API works, and won't expect it to retro add achievements.

Additionally, I purchased the other 4 characters and the boost in option, regardless of whether I use them or not. - You guys are awesome and deserve the support |

Nathan - thank you very much! Try the free demo of Templar Battleforce sometime, it is the next generation of the Heroes of Steel engine and could give some glimpse into what Legends of Steel might be like

fallen - thanks for the recommendation. For now I've added it to my wishlist (I can only play one game at a time), but I'll definitely check it out. It's also nice to know it's the next generation of the HoS engine. ...Legends of Steel..?
