I make an De Valtos explorer, Kaptan StrongArm. I hand out talents to my starter crew. I promote one officer. I have one contact, a Politician at this starting planet. I visit him. I take a mission to deliver something insystem (0 hyperjump links) for a nice payout of ~5000 clams. I go fiddle with the crew some more. I do Maps/Missions/see the mission and set the waypoint. I navigate. I go zipping along --- BOOM CTD.
No android console to report the crash in. When I restart I am back to starting planet. I have no missions. Score says: New Planets, Score #1. So it is as if taking the mission never happened. But my starter crew is all trained up with talents, so that part happened.

I have 6 crashes report on Android 1.0.17 and none of them look like they happened during map movement.
I will keep looking, maybe it is jammed up somewhere in HA. The game restarted as normal after the crash?

It restarted. But I lost the mission, it wasn't listed as accepted or failed or anything. That doesn't sound normal to me, but then what do I know?

No that absolutely sounds bad to me, definitely a bug. I asked about the restart because that is when App Crashes are sent. Since the app is unstable when it crashes, we just write the crash out to disk and then next time the application restarts, and is stable, we send the crash report file to our server. The lost missions and reverted map position are clear indicators that the game failed to save, or crashed while/before saving. We use a transactional database file, so if you did have one of those bad things happen, the state just goes back to the last known good state.
