Every time I load up one of your games (including from multi-tasking, also happens in TBF, HoS, ST4X) I get a pop up saying "Game Centre Disabled, try logging in through the game centre"
Is it possible to make this go away for good?

I've never seen that pop up in any TB games, but I think I've had my iPhone logged into Game Center in the settings menu since forever. Did it back when I setup iCloud for backups.
I don't think I'd want to suggest completely disconnecting the GC feature in case folks like it. I don't really use it myself either, so I don't really have skin in the decision either way, but maybe it's possible to add a check for if it's disabled just ignore it rather than prompt? It might be one of those things that just happens by virtue of the Apple ecosystem and they don't have tons of control over it though?

Sounds like a message that says: "Use the Settings Menu to log into the Game Centre" might be in order.
(just a thought, not an iOS person here.)

Right, but there must be some way to tell the users how to find the leaderboards ... Absolutely, I am sure there is. I'm betting Apple will help us find it. Our earlier rejections were because our strings ("Logging in through Game Centre in Settings") was because the only applied to a sub-set of the iOS version we supported. I think we ended up with this super generic message because it covered all. Maybe we will have to make a matrix of each iOS version and how to access GC for it and sniff version / output custom message. I'll figure it out |
