I thought the 10 page long "bugs" thread was getting too many different subjects so here's a subtopic about bugs with the bugs.
On Secrets of endivius, the eggs are blocking the hallways so there's only one entrance into the west side of the map. I took advantage of this by using 1 trooper to guard the open tunnel and the other 3 destroying all the eggs without creating another opening, with 7 xenos standing around on the other side of the eggs unable to get at me. Then I set up an ambush and when I was ready, blew up an egg creating an opening the xenos could come through... and they didn't. They just stood there.
I couldn't take a screenshot but it was like this... the small western chamber with the eggs is behind my troopers and the big open area is behind the bugs. w=wall, te=templar, e=egg, Xx=xeno, "--" = open space

Then I destroyed the egg in front of my troopers and the bugs didn't move. I walked my captain around the other way and came up behind them in plain sight and they didn't react until he came within 4 spaces of one of them, then that one charged him but the others still didn't move.
Also, no more xenos were spawning. There were only 7 for a long time, then when I finally killed two of them each spawnpoint created 1 more so there were 9 and I killed a bunch of them and then there were only 5 for awhile until I killed one of them.
