What Captain type? Any Talents that might interfere? Rumors, Conflicts?
Maybe that specific Contact has a trait that is making the pay insanely high?

Playing as my Military Officer, Zenrin Politician contact, Contact traits are Hates Thulun, Influential, and Bounty Hunters.

What Talents do you have? That's crazy high value! Trying to reproduce here with no luck so far. It was right out of the gate, so I didn't have any Talents that would have affected mission pay. Maybe it was just crazy lucky, and the code rolled a bunch of natural 20s or something. |

What is the politicians zone level?
If he's on a highly populated and rich zone that could push value of contracts up just as contacts on poor backwaters offer lousy contract pay.

There is no known modifier that I am aware of that could cause such high prices. Its definitely a bug ... just don't know why.

I should also say I have seen some long haul missions with very low pay. I'm talking 2k credits to make 4-6 hyoerwarp jumps.

We haven't made any improvements in that area, so you'll probably see similar. The contacts do offer mission queues now.
