Hello all! I recently started playing CK off and on after purchasing it to help fund the Trese Brothers gaming enterprise. I know this game is in beta, but I've been really enjoying it lately due to reminiscing about 16-bit shadowrun gaming. My question is twofold: A.) Is there a list of 'hey this works, test it/play it'? I've been playing for a while, and came here due to a bug, and there's a long list of stuff that I had no clue 'worked'. For example: ladder contacts, items for good rep (yakuza pass to inside the wall), extra taxi contacts. I know a lot of this is still in flux due to being under development, but it would be nice to know what the Yakuza could do for me if I maxed their rep out. Which leads me to the second part... B.) Is there a consolidated 'known bugs' list? I've run into quite a few weird glitches and bugs, but im not exactly sure what to report or where to report it. For instance: battles started with no enemies requiring a full phone restart to get me out of it (can't escape, game never recognizes there are no enemies), fighting los val can result in either raising or lowering los val rep, random fc's when hacking, multiple typos/grammar mistakes. Really love the game, and it reminds me so much of all the fun I had playing shadowrun (both 16bit games and PnP) and similar that I really want this game to take off and shine. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the info I need? (Sorry for any typos/grammar mistakes... typing this up on my phone whilst at work )

Thanks Grävling! I'll probably start a new character and take notes on the typos and post on the thread.
Any help on the other list? Or is there some sort of 'benefits of factions' list I can take a gander at? I found a link someone posted to a list of contacts that's uneditable so I can't add anything (ex: Sister Boyd-Data Hound-buys Yakashima, gives neg rep for Aztek and Yakashima for each sale), but I don't think that's official...

This is a good question. I have created a new section of the forum for each game.
Please post any bug reports you have to the appropriate board, one thread per bug report.
If they are already on the list, I will respond with an ETA and if they are new I will enter them into our system and respond with the number of the defect.

maybe we should start just publishing the bug list in public. you would be able to see our inner fears and our future plans. that is why we're scared to publish and too busy to filter. maybe publishing it is just counter-normal enough to be a TB move. i'll talk to the council.

Cory (and council),
If it helps, I've worked on numerous software projects, both open and closed source, as well as lots of testing for them. The projects that went 'smoothest' on a QA/testing level are ones that had relatively open buglists.
Despite it being scary, it actually helps in a myriad of ways. The three biggest ways are focusing testing (eg. "Hey, we popped in some new stuff, please test yakuza assassination missions and post results/feedback"), bug acknowledgement (eg. "Hey, is the thrift store really supposed to sell heavy ammo for 10¥, or is that due to my rep?") and bug squashing (eg. "Hey, we have a user that says whenever they hack Mars and sells paydata to Vice President, sometimes it deletes their savegame.)
If you're worried about idea/code theft or worse, you can leave your fixes and to-do lists vague, but I think you'll find that probably everyone on this forum would be happy to provide focused feedback and playtesting to help make this game wickedly awesome and stellar once it 'goes gold'.

I couldn't care less about idea or code theft.
The only valuable resources we have is time and friends.
My concerns about an open roadmap / buglist is that it will consume time squabbling with friends.

I don't squabble ... I just write lots and lots until people see my perspective

No problem. I'm restarting on a new char, and will keep an eye out for bugs with a bit more detail for finding, cool?
Thanks!
