1. Mortal wounds kill you. I'm still alive and kicking. S/Mortal/Grievious/ or s/Mortal/Gravely/

2. I think the game ought to do something a whole lot more dramatic when this happens.

We'll keep working to improve all the screen transitions. These sudden jumps (when you win a combat, lose a combat, start a ship combat, die) without some animation and warning are not sticking around.

I do totally agree with grävling that the game should do something much more dramatic here! It has to, your Captain just dodged death!
